Community SERVICE:

Don began his fire service career in 1980 as a community volunteer in Happy Valley. While he has spent many years since as a paid professional with both Salem Fire Department and Portland Fire & Rescue, his commitment to volunteering for his own community remains strong. Using the skills developed over a career, Don now volunteers for both Sandy and Boring as an educator, assisting with the youth firesetting intervention program and in other ways his skills can provide value to the community.
Don lives in Damascus with his family, enjoying the rural beauty of the area. Community service remains an important part of his life.
